Introduction:
Hi readers, my name is Sarthak Mahajan and today I’ll introduce you’ll to my all-time favorite, Ferrari 812 GTS.
Description:
As usual, this blog is divided into 5 sections Overview, Exterior with subsections, Interior and features, Engine Specifications, Colors.
1) Overview:
So, this Ferrari 812 GTS is the convertible version of the normal Ferrari 812 Superfast. The engine is derived from the V-12 lineup from Ferrari’s engines, and because it has a V-12 it has that iconic roar from the exhaust sound. The difference between normal 812 Superfast and 812 GTS is of course the convertible top as well as the power, normal 812 Superfast is 0.1s faster than GTS. Though I love the design of this car.
2) Exterior:
1. Front Design:
What can I even say about the front, this car defines speed no matter from which angle you are viewing, it just defines speed! But there are many things to mention here such as there are no fog lamps. And on grille there is the Ferrari Horse finished in chrome and on hood it has the Yellow Ferrari badge. Headlights are all Led with indicators integrated into it. Also there are many vents to cool down brakes and to increase aerodynamic efficiency. To increase more aerodynamic efficiency there are carbon fibre front lip spoilers.
2. Side Design:
This car is just a piece of art! So, at the side there are cuts for aerodynamic efficiency. The door handles aren’t integrated, small but useable. Side skirts are carbon fibre and the alloys are finished in silver. There is a Yellow Ferrari badge on the front fender. The brake callipers are finished in yellow to match up with Ferrari Badge. Tire size is (front)- 275/35R20, (rear)-315/35R20. The rear tire profile is bigger to handle the torque and power from the engine.
3. Design Rear:
This might be the best viewing angle of the car. Those quad exhaust pipes and that united spoiler with high mount stop lamp, the taillights are iconic to Ferrari’s design all Led. That rear skid plate defines drag effectiveness. There are vents too, for more drag to keep the car as low as possible. It is just so unique design! The boot space is 210 liters.
3) Interior and features:
This car has such a futuristic interior, the flat-bottom steering wheel with F1 car like steering controls. The AC vents are shaped like exhausts and that too look fantastic. On the left side of steering wheel there is left indicator (there are no stalks behind the steering wheel), under that there are headlight controls, beside that suspension adjustment button is placed. Now moving on to the right side then there is right indicator button (again no indicator stalks), and under that there is wiper speed control and washer spray control. Just under that there is mode selection button also known as Ferrari’s wheel-mounted Manettino driving mode switch, there are 3 major driving modes – Wet, Sport, Race. On the passenger side there is an optional small screen from there the passenger can keep a watch on speed, navigation and rpm. The interior is in brown colour so some people might feel claustrophobic.
4) Engine Specifications:
This is the special part of the car, heart of the matter. This is 6.5L v-12 that produces insane 799hp with 529lb-ft. That is carried forward by 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. These specifications are crazy! Extremely powerful engine. This car can go up to 211mph i.e. 339kmh and can do 0-99kmh in just 3secs. This is unbelievably insane!
