Introduction:
Hi readers, my name is Sarthak Mahajan and I’m here to introduce you’ll to the new Skoda Kushaq Style.
Description:
So, this blog is divided into 6 sections – overview, Exterior with subsections, Interior with subsections, Engine Specifications, Safety features, Colours.
1) Overview:
Skoda Kushaq is a special make for India, made for Indian roads. It is Skoda’s rival against Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Though when we look forward with the dimensions, it simply doesn’t match up with the competitors. This car misses out on some key features such as all windows doesn’t roll down when holding lock-unlock button but yes, only driver’s window is rolled down (cost cutting). This specific variant costs Rs 17.59 Lakh ex-showroom.
2) Exterior:
1. Front Design:
This car has a great stance at front, the reason is headlights and fog lamps are placed on the upper side. And headlights are projector based Led with DRL. There is blacked out grille surrounded with chrome strip. There are some fake vents and black body cladding with grey skid plate similar to Volkswagen Taigun. Also there is no variant badge at the front.
2. Design side:
On the side, there is a Skoda Badging inside piano black panel. There is a chrome strip on the door handles and there is a request sensor for both the doors (driver and passenger). Tire size is 17-inches, alloys are in sort of a silver finish. The front wheels have a disc brake but at the rear, it has drum brake (cost-cutting). Roof rails are in silver that can hold up to 50kgs. There is black body cladding all over the 4 sides.
3. Design Rear:
Okay, so when talking about the rear design it’s subtle. Skoda has tried to keep it simple at the rear. There is chrome strip that joins the reflectors on the other side. Taillights are Led, Skoda badging finished in chrome (there are many small bits where Chrome is used a lot). Same as the front, here are fake vents with a grey skid plate. And on top there is a sunroof and shark-fin antenna. The boot is 385 litres same as Taigun.
3) Interior:
1. Interior Front:
The first thing that grabs our attention is the 10-inch infotainment system which supports wireless connectivity of Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The 2 spoke steering wheel really stands out. The interior is in dual-tone colour combination. Unfortunately, though the instrument cluster isn’t digital but some people might like that analogue cluster. There is no physical button for ac adjustment, there is a touch-sensitive panel from there you have to adjust ac and control fan speed. Furthermore, it has sun visors for both passenger and driver. There are also reading lights and handle to hold on for both passenger and driver.
2. Interior rear:
At rear, there are handles to hold on to, 2 ac vents, 2 USB-c ports, small storage. And when talking about storage there is place to store 1 litre bottle on door panels and magazine holders too. Also there is centre armrest, all three headrests are adjustable.
4) Engine Specifications:
Skoda offers 1.5 TSI for this specific variant (style) that is carried forward by 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Which produces 147.51bhp@5000-6000rpm and 250nm@1500-3500rpm. This configuration is perfect for city drives.
5) Safety Features:
This variant has Electronic Stability Control(ESC), Anti-lock Braking System(ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution(EBD), Multi Collision Braking, Electronic Differential Lock System(EDS), XDS & XDS+ (over 30 Kph), Brake Disc Wiping(BSW).
6) Colours:
Skoda Kushaq is available in 5 different colours – Brilliant Silver, Honey Orange, Carbon Steel, Toreador Red and Candy White.
